使徒行傳-Acts 第 16 章

16:1	保羅來到特庇，又到路司得。看哪，在那裏有一個門徒，名叫提摩太，是信主之猶太婦人的兒子，父親卻是希利尼人。 And he came also to Derbe and to Lystra. And behold, a certain disciple named Timothy was there, the son of a Jewish woman who was a believer, but of a Greek father;
16:2	路司得和以哥念的弟兄們都稱讚他。 He was well attested to by the brothers in Lystra and Iconium.
16:3	保羅有意要他一同出去，隻因那些地方的猶太人，就帶他去，給他行了割禮，因為他們都知道他父親是希利尼人。 Paul wanted this one to go forth with him; and he took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those places, for they all knew that his father was a Greek.
16:4	他們經過各城，把耶路撒冷的使徒和長老所定的規條，交給門徒遵守。 And as they went through the cities, they delivered to them the decrees to keep which had been decided upon by the apostles and elders in Jerusalem.
16:5	於是眾召會在信仰上得堅固，人數天天加增。 And so the churches were strengthened in the faith and increased in number daily.
16:6	聖靈既然禁止他們在亞西亞講道，他們就經過弗呂家和加拉太地區。 And they passed through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia.
16:7	到了每西亞的邊界，他們試著要往庇推尼去，耶穌的靈卻不許， And when they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, yet the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them.
16:8	他們就越過每西亞，下到特羅亞去。 And bypassing Mysia, they came down to Troas.
16:9	在夜間有異象現與保羅：有一個馬其頓人站著求他說，請你過到馬其頓來幫助我們。 And a vision appeared to Paul during the night: A certain man, a Macedonian, was standing and entreating him and saying, Come over into Macedonia and help us.
16:10	保羅既看見這異象，我們便推斷是神召我們去傳福音給那裏的人，就立刻想要往馬其頓去。 And when he had seen the vision, we immediately endeavored to go forth into Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to announce the gospel to them.
16:11	於是從特羅亞開船，一直行到撒摩特喇，第二天到了尼亞波利。 And putting out to sea from Troas, we ran a straight course to Samothrace, and on the following day to Neapolis,
16:12	從那裏來到腓立比，就是馬其頓區的頭一個城，也是羅馬的駐防城。我們在這城裏住了幾天。 And from there to Philippi, which is the leading city of that part of Macedonia, a Roman colony; and we spent some days in this city.
16:13	當安息日，我們走出城門，到了河邊，以為那裏是個禱告的地方，我們就坐下對那聚集的婦女講論。 And on the Sabbath day we went outside the gate by the river, where we supposed there would be a place of prayer; and we sat down and spoke to the women who had come together.
16:14	有一個賣紫色布疋的婦人，名叫呂底亞，是推雅推喇城的人，素來敬拜神；她一直聽著，主就開啟她的心，叫她留意保羅所講的。 And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple-dyed goods from the city of Thyatira who worshipped God, was listening, whose heart the Lord opened to give heed to the things being spoken by Paul.
16:15	她和她一家既受了浸，便求我們說，你們若斷定我對主是忠信的，就請到我家裏來住；於是強留我們。 And when she was baptized, as well as her household, she entreated us, saying, If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house and abide. And she constrained us.
16:16	後來，我們往那禱告的地方去，有一個使女迎麵而來，她有巫覡的靈附著，行占卜，叫她的主人們大得財利。 And as we were going to the place of prayer, a certain slave girl having a spirit of Python met us, who brought her masters much profit by divining.
16:17	她跟隨保羅和我們，喊著說，這些人是至高神的奴仆，向你們宣傳救人的道路。 This woman followed after Paul and us and cried out, saying, These men are slaves of the Most High God, who announce to you a way of salvation.
16:18	她一連多日都這樣作，保羅就十分厭煩，轉身對那巫覡的靈說，我在耶穌基督的名裏，吩咐你從她身上出來。那巫覡的靈當時就出來了。 And she did this for many days. But Paul was greatly disturbed; and turning, he said to the spirit, I charge you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And it came out that very hour.
16:19	使女的主人們見自己得利的指望沒有了，便揪住保羅和西拉，拉到市場上首領麵前； But when her masters saw that their hope of profit had gone out, they laid hold of Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace before the rulers.
16:20	又把他們帶到官長那裏，說，這些人原是猶太人，竟騷擾我們的城， And when they had brought them to the magistrates, they said, These men, being Jews, are throwing our city into confusion,
16:21	宣傳我們羅馬人所不可受，也不可行的規矩。 And they are announcing customs which are not lawful for us, being Romans, to accept or do.
16:22	群眾就一同起來攻擊他們，官長剝了他們的衣服，吩咐人用棍子打。 And the crowd rose up together against them, and the magistrates tore off their garments and ordered some to beat them with rods.
16:23	打了許多棍，便將他們下在監裏，囑咐禁卒看守妥當。 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they threw them into prison, charging the jailer to keep them securely,
16:24	禁卒領了這樣的命令，就把他們下在內監，兩腳上妥了木狗。 Who, having received such a charge, threw them into the inner prison and secured their feet in the stocks.
16:25	約在半夜，保羅和西拉禱告唱詩讚美神，眾囚犯也側耳聽他們。 And about midnight Paul and Silas, while praying, sang hymns of praise to God; and the prisoners were listening to them.
16:26	忽然地大震動，甚至監牢的地基都搖動了，監門立刻全開，眾囚犯的鎖鏈也都鬆開了。 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison house were shaken. And instantly all the doors were opened and everyone's bonds were unfastened.
16:27	禁卒醒來，看見監門開了，以為囚犯已經逃走，就拔刀想要自殺。 And the jailer, waking up out of his sleep and seeing the doors of the prison opened, drew his sword and was about to do away with himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped.
16:28	保羅大聲呼叫說，不要傷害自己，我們都在這裏。 But Paul called out with a loud voice, saying, Do no harm to yourself, for we are all here.
16:29	禁卒叫人拿燈來，就衝進去，戰戰兢兢的俯伏在保羅、西拉麵前； And the jailer asked for lights and rushed in; and trembling, he fell down before Paul and Silas.
16:30	又領他們出來，說，先生們，我當怎樣行才可以得救？ And leading them outside, he said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
16:31	他們說，當信靠主耶穌，你和你一家都必得救。 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved, you and your household.
16:32	他們就把主的話，講給他同他全家的人聽。 And they spoke the word of God to him together with all those in his house.
16:33	當夜，就在那時，禁卒把他們帶去，洗他們的傷，他和屬乎他的人，立即都受了浸。 And he took them with him in that very hour of the night and washed their wounds. And he was baptized immediately, he and all his household.
16:34	於是禁卒領他們上去，到他的家裏，給他們擺上飯，他和全家因為信了神，就都歡騰。 And he brought them up into his house and set a table before them; and he exulted because he had believed in God with all his household.
16:35	到了天亮，官長打發差役來，說，釋放那兩個人吧。 Now when day came, the magistrates sent the lictors, saying, Release those men.
16:36	禁卒就把這話告訴保羅說，官長打發人來要釋放你們。這樣，你們現在就出監，平平安安的走吧。 And the jailer reported these words to Paul: The magistrates have sent that you may be released. Now therefore come out and go in peace.
16:37	保羅卻對他們說，我們是羅馬人，並沒有定罪，他們就公開的打了我們，又把我們下在監裏，現在要私下攆我們出去麼？這是不行的，叫他們自己來領我們出去吧。 But Paul said to them, They have beaten us publicly, uncondemned, men who are Romans, and have thrown us into prison; and now secretly they are thrusting us out? No indeed! But let them come themselves and bring us out.
16:38	差役把這話稟報官長。官長聽見他們是羅馬人，就害怕了。 And the lictors reported these words to the magistrates. And they became frightened when they heard that they were Romans.
16:39	於是來勸他們，領他們出來，請他們離開那城。 And they came and entreated them. And when they had brought them out, they asked them to depart from the city.
16:40	二人出了監，就到呂底亞家裏去，見了弟兄們，勸勉他們一番，就走了。 And they went out from the prison and entered the house of Lydia; and when they saw the brothers, they exhorted them and went forth.
