羅馬書-Romans 第 3 章

3:1這樣,猶太人有什麼長處?割禮有什麼益處?
What then is the advantage of the Jew? Or what is the profit of circumcision?
3:2各方麵都很多。第一,是神的諭言信托了他們。
Much in every way. First, that they were entrusted with the oracles of God.
3:3即便有不信的,這有何妨?難道他們的不信,就廢掉神的信麼?
For what if some disbelieved? Shall their unbelief annul the faithfulness of God?
3:4絕對不能!神總是真實的,人都是虛謊的,如經上所記:“好叫你說話的時候,顯為公義;被人審判的時候,可以得勝。”
Absolutely not! But let God be true and every man a liar, as it is written, "That You may be declared righteous in Your words and may overcome when You are judged.''
3:5我且照著人的常話說,我們的不義若顯出神的義來,我們要說什麼?神降怒,難道是祂不義麼?
But if our unrighteousness commends the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is the God who inflicts wrath unrighteous? I speak according to man.
3:6絕對不是!若是這樣,神怎能審判世界?
Absolutely not! Otherwise how shall God judge the world?
3:7但神的真實,若因我的虛謊,越發洋溢出祂的榮耀,為什麼我還受審判像罪人一樣?
But if the truthfulness of God has abounded in my lie unto His glory, why still am I also being judged as a sinner?
3:8為什麼不說,讓我們作惡以成善?這是我們所受的毀謗,也是有些人硬說我們有這話。這等人受審判是該當的。
And why not say (as we are slanderously charged and as some affirm that we say), Let us do evil that good may come? whose judgment is just.
3:9這卻怎麼樣?我們比他們強麼?絕對沒有!因我們已經指控,猶太人和希利尼人都在罪之下,
What then? Are we better? Not at all! For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin,
3:10就如經上所記:“沒有義人,連一個也沒有,
Even as it is written, "There is none righteous, not even one;
3:11沒有明白的,沒有尋求神的;
There is none who understands, there is none who seeks out God.
3:12都是偏離正路,一同變為無用;沒有行善的,連一個也沒有。
All have turned aside; together they have become useless; there is none who does good; there is not so much as one.
3:13他們的喉嚨是敞開的墳墓,他們用舌頭弄詭詐,嘴唇裏有虺蛇的毒氣,
Their throat is an opened grave; with their tongues they practiced deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips;
3:14他們滿口是咒罵苦毒;
Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.
3:15殺人流血,他們的腳飛跑,
Swift are their feet to shed blood,
3:16在他們所經過的路上,遍行毀壞和禍害,
Destruction and misery are in their ways,
3:17平安的路,他們未曾知道;
And the way of peace they have not known.
3:18他們眼中不怕神。”
There is no fear of God before their eyes.''
3:19我們曉得律法上的話,都是對律法以下之人說的,好堵住各人的口,叫普世的人都伏在神的審判之下。
Now we know that whatever things the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped and all the world may fall under the judgment of God;
3:20因為凡屬肉體的人,都不能本於行律法在神麵前得稱義,因為律法本是叫人知罪。
Because out of the works of the law no flesh shall be justified before Him; for through the law is the clear knowledge of sin.
3:21但如今神的義在律法以外已經顯明出來,有律法和申言者為證,
But now, apart from the law, the righteousness of God has been manifested, witness being borne to it by the Law and the Prophets;
3:22就是神的義,藉著信耶穌基督,歸與一切信的人,並沒有分別。
Even the righteousness of God through the faith of Jesus Christ to all those who believe, for there is no distinction;
3:23因為眾人都犯了罪,虧缺了神的榮耀,
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
3:24但因神的恩典,藉著在基督耶穌裏的救贖,就白白的得稱義。
Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus;
3:25神擺出基督耶穌作平息處,是憑著祂的血,藉著人的信,為要在神以寬容越過人先時所犯的罪上,顯示祂的義;
Whom God set forth as a propitiation place through faith in His blood, for the demonstrating of His righteousness, in that in His forbearance God passed over the sins that had previously occurred,
3:26為著在今時顯示祂的義,使祂能是義的,也能稱那以信耶穌為本的人為義。
With a view to the demonstrating of His righteousness in the present time, so that He might be righteous and the One who justifies him who is of the faith of Jesus.
3:27既是這樣,那裏有可誇的?完全沒有了!藉著什麼律?藉著行的律麼?不是,乃是藉著信的律。
Where then is boasting? It is excluded. Through what kind of law? That of works? No, but through the law of faith.
3:28因為我們算定了,人得稱義是藉著信,與行律法無關。
For we account that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.
3:29難道神隻是猶太人的神麼?不也是外邦人的麼?是的,也是外邦人的;
Or is He the God of the Jews only? Is He not of the Gentiles also? Yes, of the Gentiles also,
3:30神既是一位,祂就要本於信稱那受割禮的為義,也要藉著信稱那未受割禮的為義。
If indeed God is one, who will justify the circumcision out of faith and the uncircumcision through faith.
3:31這樣,我們藉著信使律法失效麼?絕對不是!反而堅固了律法。
Do we then make the law of no effect through faith? Absolutely not! Rather, we establish the law.
