| 8:1 | 關於祭偶像之物，我們曉得我們都有知識。知識是叫人自高自大，惟有愛建造人。 Now concerning things sacrificed to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. |
| 8:2 | 若有人自以為知道什麼，按他所當知道的，他仍是不知道； If anyone thinks that he knows anything, he has not yet come to know as he ought to know; |
| 8:3 | 但若有人愛神，這人乃是神所知道的。 But if anyone loves God, this one is known by Him. |
| 8:4 | 關於吃祭偶像之物，我們曉得偶像在世上算不得什麼，也曉得神隻有一位，再沒有別的神。 Therefore concerning the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world and that there is no God but one. |
| 8:5 | 縱然有稱為神的，或在天，或在地，就如那許多的神，許多的主， For even if there are so-called gods, either in heaven or on earth, even as there are many gods and many lords, |
| 8:6 | 在我們卻隻有一位神，就是父，萬物都本於祂，我們也歸於祂；並有一位主，就是耶穌基督，萬物都是藉著祂有的，我們也是藉著祂有的。 Yet to us there is one God, the Father, out from whom are all things, and we are unto Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we are through Him. |
| 8:7 | 然而人不都有這等知識；有人直到如今還帶著拜偶像的習慣感，就以為所吃的是祭偶像之物；他們的良心既然軟弱，就受了玷汙。 But this knowledge is not in all men; but some, being accustomed to the idol until now, eat the food as an idol sacrifice, and their conscience, being weak, is defiled. |
| 8:8 | 其實食物不能將我們薦與神，因為我們不吃也無虧缺，吃也無盈超。 But food will not commend us to God; neither if we do not eat are we lacking, nor if we eat do we abound. |
| 8:9 | 隻是你們要謹慎，恐怕你們這權利，竟成了那軟弱人的絆腳石。 But beware lest somehow this right of yours become a stumbling block to the weak ones. |
| 8:10 | 若有人見你這有知識的，在偶像的廟裏坐席，這人既是軟弱的，他的良心豈不放膽去吃那祭偶像之物麼？ For if anyone sees you who have knowledge reclining at table in an idol temple, will not his conscience, if he is weak, be emboldened to eat the things sacrificed to the idols? |
| 8:11 | 因此，基督為他死的那軟弱弟兄，也就被你的知識敗壞了。 For the one who is weak is being destroyed by your knowledge, the brother because of whom Christ died. |
| 8:12 | 你們這樣得罪弟兄們，傷了他們軟弱的良心，就是得罪基督。 And sinning in this way against the brothers and wounding their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. |
| 8:13 | 所以食物若真絆跌我的弟兄，我就絕不吃肉直到永遠，免得絆跌我的弟兄。 Therefore if food stumbles my brother, I shall by no means eat meat forever, that I may not stumble my brother. |
