民數記-Numbers 第 25 章

25:1	以色列人住在什亭，百姓與摩押女子行起淫亂。 While Israel dwelt in Shittim, the people began to commit fornication with the daughters of Moab.
25:2	這些女子邀百姓來，給她們的神獻祭，百姓就吃她們的祭物，跪拜她們的神。 For they invited the people to the sacrifices of their gods, and the people ate and bowed down to their gods.
25:3	以色列人與巴力毗珥連合，耶和華的怒氣就向以色列人發作。 And Israel joined itself to Baal-peor, and the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Israel.
25:4	耶和華對摩西說，將百姓中所有的族長，在我耶和華麵前對著日頭懸掛，使我耶和華的烈怒可以從以色列人轉消。 And Jehovah said to Moses, Take all the leaders of the people and hang them up to Jehovah before the sun, so that the fierce anger of Jehovah may turn away from Israel.
25:5	於是摩西對以色列的審判官說，凡屬你們的人，有與巴力毗珥連合的，你們各人要把他們殺了。 And Moses said to the judges of Israel, Each of you slay his men who have joined themselves to Baal-peor.
25:6	摩西和以色列人全會眾正在會幕門口哭泣的時候，有以色列人中的一個人，竟然當他們眼前，帶著一個米甸女人到他弟兄們那裏。 Just then one of the children of Israel came and brought a Midianite woman to his brothers in the sight of Moses and in the sight of the whole assembly of the children of Israel, while they were weeping at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting.
25:7	祭司亞倫的孫子，以利亞撒的兒子非尼哈看見了，就從會中起來，手裏拿著槍， And when Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from the midst of the assembly, and took a spear in his hand,
25:8	跟隨那以色列人進內棚去，將以色列人和那女人由腹中刺透。這樣，在以色列人中的瘟疫就止息了。 And went after the man of Israel into the tent and pierced both of them, the man of Israel and the woman through her stomach. So the plague among the children of Israel was stopped.
25:9	那時遭瘟疫死的，有二萬四千人。 And those who died by the plague were twenty-four thousand.
25:10	耶和華對摩西說， Then Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
25:11	祭司亞倫的孫子，以利亞撒的兒子非尼哈，使我的怒氣從以色列人轉消；因他在他們中間，以我的妒忌妒忌他們，使我不在妒忌中把他們除滅。 Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, has turned My wrath away from the children of Israel, in that he was jealous with My jealousy among them, so that I did not consume the children of Israel in My jealousy.
25:12	因此，你要說，我將我平安的約賜給他； Therefore say, I now give him My covenant of peace,
25:13	這約要給他和他的後裔，作永遠祭司職任的約；因他為神起了妒忌，為以色列人遮罪。 And it shall be to him and to his seed after him, the covenant of an everlasting priesthood, because he was jealous for his God and made expiation for the children of Israel.
25:14	那與米甸女人一同被殺的以色列人，名叫心利，是撒路的兒子，是西緬一個宗族的首領。 Now the name of the slain man of Israel, who was slain with the Midianite woman, was Zimri the son of Salu, a leader of a father's household among the Simeonites.
25:15	那被殺的米甸女人，名叫哥斯比，是蘇珥的女兒；這蘇珥是米甸一個宗族的首領。 And the name of the Midianite woman who was slain was Cozbi the daughter of Zur, head of the people of a father's household in Midian.
25:16	耶和華對摩西說， Then Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
25:17	你要擾害米甸人，擊殺他們； Harass the Midianites and strike them;
25:18	因為他們用詭計擾害你們，在毗珥的事上，並在他們的姊妹，米甸首領的女兒哥斯比的事上，用這詭計誘惑了你們；這哥斯比，當瘟疫流行的日子，因毗珥的事被殺了。 For they have harassed you with their deception with which they have deceived you in the matter of Peor and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of the prince of Midian, their sister, who was slain on the day of the plague in the matter of Peor.
