民數記-Numbers 第 32 章

32:1流便子孫和迦得子孫的牲畜極其眾多；他們看見雅謝地和基列地是可牧放牲畜之地，
Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great abundance of livestock. And when they saw the land of Jazer and the land of Gilead, that the place was indeed a place for livestock,
32:2就來見摩西和祭司以利亞撒，並會眾的首領，說，
The children of Gad and the children of Reuben came and spoke to Moses and to Eleazar the priest and to the leaders of the assembly, saying,
32:3亞大錄、底本、雅謝、寧拉、希實本、以利亞利、示班、尼波、比穩，
Ataroth and Dibon and Jazer and Nimrah and Heshbon and Elealeh and Sebam and Nebo and Beon,
32:4就是耶和華在以色列會眾前麵所攻取之地，是可牧放牲畜之地，你仆人也有牲畜；
The land which Jehovah struck before the assembly of Israel, is a land for livestock, and your servants have livestock.
32:5又說，我們若在你眼前蒙恩，求你把這地給你仆人為業，不要叫我們過約但河。
And they said, If we have found favor in your sight, let this land be given to your servants for a possession; do not make us cross over the Jordan.
32:6摩西對迦得子孫和流便子孫說，難道你們的弟兄去打仗，你們竟坐在這裏麼？
And Moses said to the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brothers go to war, while you stay here?
32:7你們為何使以色列人灰心喪膽，不過去進入耶和華所賜給他們的那地呢？
Now why would you discourage the heart of the children of Israel from crossing over into the land which Jehovah has given them?
32:8我先前從加低斯巴尼亞打發你們先祖去看那地，那時他們也是這樣行。
Your fathers did this when I sent them from Kadesh-barnea to see the land.
32:9他們上到以實各穀，看了那地之後，使以色列人灰心喪膽，不進入耶和華所賜給他們的地。
When they went up to the valley of Eshcol and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel from going into the land which Jehovah had given them.
32:10當日耶和華的怒氣發作，就起誓說，
And Jehovah's anger was kindled in that day, and He swore, saying,
32:11凡從埃及上來，二十歲以上的人，斷不得看見我所起誓要賜給亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各之地，因為他們沒有專心跟從我。
Surely none of the men who came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, because they have not fully followed Me;
32:12惟有基尼洗人耶孚尼的兒子迦勒，和嫩的兒子約書亞可以看見，因為他們專心跟從耶和華。
Except Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite and Joshua the son of Nun, because they have fully followed Jehovah.
32:13耶和華的怒氣向以色列人發作，使他們在曠野飄流四十年，直到在耶和華眼前行惡的那一代人都消滅了。
And Jehovah's anger was kindled against Israel, and He made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until the whole generation which had done evil in the sight of Jehovah was consumed.
32:14誰知，你們這些罪人的種類起來接替先祖，使耶和華向以色列的烈怒越發加增。
And now you have risen up in your fathers' place, a brood of sinful men, to further increase the burning anger of Jehovah toward Israel.
32:15你們若轉離不跟從祂，祂就要再把以色列人撇在曠野；你們便使這眾民全都滅亡。
For if you turn away from following Him, He will yet again leave them in the wilderness; and you will destroy this entire people.
32:16兩支派的人挨近摩西，說，我們要在這裏為牲畜壘圈，為婦人孩子造城；
And they came near to him and said, We will build sheepfolds here for our livestock and cities for our little ones;
32:17我們自己要備妥兵器，行在以色列人的前頭，直到把他們領到他們的地方；但我們的婦人孩子，因這地居民的緣故，要住在堅固的城內。
But we ourselves will be armed and ready to go before the children of Israel until we have brought them to their place, while our little ones dwell in the fortified cities because of the inhabitants of the land.
32:18我們不回家，直等到以色列人各自承受了產業。
We will not return to our houses until each one of the children of Israel has inherited his inheritance.
32:19我們不和他們在約但河那邊一帶之地同受產業，因為給我們的產業是在約但河東邊這裏。
For we will not inherit with them on the other side of the Jordan and further on, because our inheritance has come to us on this side of the Jordan eastward.
32:20摩西對他們說，你們若這樣行，在耶和華麵前帶著兵器出去打仗，
And Moses said to them, If you will do this thing, if you will arm yourselves before Jehovah for war,
32:21所有帶兵器的人都要在耶和華麵前過約但河，直到祂把仇敵從祂麵前趕出去，
And all of your armed men will cross over the Jordan before Jehovah until He has driven out His enemies from before Him,
32:22那地在耶和華麵前被製伏了，然後你們才可以回來，卸下向耶和華和以色列的責任，這地也必在耶和華麵前歸你們為業。
And the land is subdued before Jehovah, then afterward you shall return and be free of obligation toward Jehovah and toward Israel; and this land shall be yours for a possession before Jehovah.
32:23倘若你們不這樣行，就得罪耶和華，要知道你們的罪必追上你們。
But if you will not do so, then you have sinned against Jehovah; and know that your sin will find you out.
32:24如今你們口中所出的，隻管去行，為你們的婦人孩子造城，為你們的羊群壘圈。
Build for yourselves cities for your little ones and folds for your sheep, and do what has proceeded out of your mouth.
32:25迦得子孫和流便子孫對摩西說，仆人必照我主所吩咐的去行。
And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben spoke to Moses, saying, Your servants will do as my lord commands.
32:26我們的孩子、妻子、羊群、和所有的牲畜，都要留在基列的各城；
Our little ones, our wives, our livestock, and all our cattle will be there in the cities of Gilead;
32:27但你的仆人，凡帶兵器出去打仗的，都要照我主所說的，在耶和華麵前過去打仗。
But your servants will cross over, everyone who is armed for war before Jehovah to battle, as my lord says.
32:28於是，摩西為他們囑咐祭司以利亞撒和嫩的兒子約書亞，並以色列眾支派宗族的族長，
So Moses gave command concerning them to Eleazar the priest and to Joshua the son of Nun and to the heads of the fathers' houses of the tribes of the children of Israel.
32:29對他們說，迦得子孫和流便子孫，凡帶兵器在耶和華麵前去打仗的，若與你們一同過約但河，那地在你們麵前被製伏了，你們就要把基列地給他們為業。
And Moses said to them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben cross over the Jordan with you, everyone who is armed to battle before Jehovah, and the land is subdued before you, then you shall give them the land of Gilead as a possession.
32:30倘若他們不帶兵器和你們一同過去，就要在迦南地你們中間得產業。
But if they do not cross over armed with you, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.
32:31迦得子孫和流便子孫回答說，耶和華對仆人怎樣說，仆人就怎樣行。
And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben answered, saying, As Jehovah has said to your servants, so will we do.
32:32我們要帶兵器，在耶和華麵前過去，進入迦南地，隻是在約但河這邊，我們所得為業之地仍歸我們。
We will cross over armed before Jehovah into the land of Canaan, and the possession of our inheritance will remain with us beyond the Jordan.
32:33摩西將亞摩利王西宏的國和巴珊王噩的國，那地和那地四境的城邑，都給了迦得子孫和流便子孫，並約瑟的兒子瑪拿西半個支派。
And Moses gave to them, to the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben and to the half-tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon the king of the Amorites and the kingdom of Og the king of Bashan, the land according to its cities with their territories, the cities of the surrounding land.
32:34迦得子孫修建底本、亞他錄、亞羅珥、
And the children of Gad built Dibon and Ataroth and Aroer
32:35亞他錄朔反、雅謝、約比哈、
And Atroth-shophan and Jazer and Jogbehah
32:36伯寧拉、伯哈蘭，都是堅固城；他們又壘羊圈。
And Beth-nimrah and Beth-haran as fortified cities, and folds for sheep.
32:37流便子孫修建希實本、以利亞利、基列亭、
And the children of Reuben built Heshbon and Elealeh and Kiriathaim
32:38尼波、巴力免(這些名字是改了的、)西比瑪，並給他們所修建的城起了別的名字。
And Nebo and Baal-meon-their names to be changed-and Sibmah, and they gave other names to the cities which they built.
32:39瑪拿西的兒子瑪吉，他的子孫往基列去，占了那地，趕出那裏的亞摩利人。
And the children of Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead and took it and dispossessed the Amorites who were in it.
32:40摩西將基列賜給瑪拿西的兒子瑪吉，他的子孫就住在那裏。
And Moses gave Gilead to Machir the son of Manasseh, and he dwelt in it.
32:41瑪拿西的子孫睚珥去占了亞摩利人的村落，就稱這些村落為哈倭特睚珥。
And Jair the son of Manasseh went and took its villages and called them Havvoth-jair.
32:42挪巴去占了基納和基納的鄉村，就按自己的名稱基納為挪巴。
And Nobah went and took Kenath and its towns, and called it Nobah after his own name.
