申命記-Deuteronomy 第 6 章

6:1	這是耶和華你們神吩咐我教訓你們的誡命、律例和典章，使你們在所要過去得為業的地上遵行； Now this is the commandment, the statutes and the judgments, which Jehovah your God has commanded me to teach you, that you may do them in the land into which you are crossing over to possess;
6:2	好叫你和你的子子孫孫，一生的日子敬畏耶和華你的神，謹守祂的一切律例和誡命，就是我所吩咐你的，使你的日子得以長久。 That you may fear Jehovah your God and keep all His statutes and His commandments, which I am commanding you, you and your son and your grandson, all the days of your life; and that your days may be extended.
6:3	以色列阿，你要聽，要謹守遵行，使你在流奶與蜜之地可以得福，人數極其增多，正如耶和華你列祖的神所應許你的。 Therefore hear, O Israel, and be certain to do it, that it may go well with you and that you may be greatly increased, in a land flowing with milk and honey, even as Jehovah, the God of your fathers, promised you.
6:4	以色列阿，你要聽，耶和華是我們的神；耶和華是獨一的。 Hear, O Israel, Jehovah is our God; Jehovah is one.
6:5	你要全心、全魂、全力，愛耶和華你的神。 And you shall love Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
6:6	我今日所吩咐你的這些話，要放在心上； And these words, which I command you today, shall be upon your heart;
6:7	也要殷勤教訓你的兒女，無論你坐在家裏，行在路上，躺下，起來，都要談論。 And you shall repeat them to your children, and speak about them when you sit in your house and when you journey on the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up;
6:8	你也要將這些話係在手上為記號，戴在額上為頭帶； And you shall bind them on your hand as a sign, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes;
6:9	又要寫在你房屋的門框上，並你的城門上。 And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
6:10	耶和華你的神，領你進祂向你列祖亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓要賜給你的地；那裏有又大又美的城邑，非你所建造的； And when Jehovah your God brings you into the land which He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you great and fine cities that you did not build,
6:11	有裝滿各樣美物的房屋，非你所裝滿的；有鑿成的水井，非你所鑿成的；還有葡萄園和橄欖園，非你所栽種的；你吃了而且飽足； And houses full of every good thing that you did not fill, and hewn cisterns that you did not hew, vineyards and olive groves that you did not plant, and you have eaten and are satisfied;
6:12	那時你要謹慎，免得你忘記將你從埃及地，從為奴之家領出來的耶和華。 Be careful that you do not forget Jehovah who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the slave house.
6:13	你要敬畏耶和華你的神，事奉祂，指著祂的名起誓。 It is Jehovah your God whom you shall fear, and Him whom you shall serve; and it is by His name only that you shall swear.
6:14	不可隨從別神，就是你們四圍眾民的神， You shall not go after other gods, any of the gods of the peoples who surround you -
6:15	因為在你們中間耶和華你的神是忌邪的神；惟恐耶和華你神的怒氣向你發作，就把你從地麵上除滅。 For Jehovah your God is a jealous God in the midst of you. Otherwise the anger of Jehovah your God will be kindled against you, and He will destroy you from off the face of the earth.
6:16	你們不可試探耶和華你們的神，像你們在瑪撒試探祂一樣。 You shall not test Jehovah your God, as you tested Him at Massah.
6:17	要留意遵守耶和華你們神所吩咐的誡命、法度和律例。 You shall diligently keep the commandments of Jehovah your God and His testimonies and His statutes, which He has commanded you.
6:18	耶和華眼中看為正、看為善的，你都要遵行，使你得福，並可以進去得耶和華向你列祖起誓應許的那美地， And you shall do that which is right and good in the sight of Jehovah so that it may go well with you and you may enter and possess the good land, concerning which Jehovah swore to your fathers
6:19	照耶和華所說的，從你麵前攆出你的一切仇敵。 To drive out all your enemies from before you, as Jehovah has spoken.
6:20	日後，你的兒子問你說，耶和華我們神吩咐你們的這些法度、律例和典章是什麼意思？ When your son asks you in the future, saying, What is the significance of the testimonies and the statutes and the judgments that Jehovah our God commanded you?
6:21	你就告訴你的兒子說，我們在埃及作過法老的奴仆；耶和華用大能的手將我們從埃及領出來， Then you will say to your son, We were Pharaoh's slaves in Egypt, and Jehovah brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand.
6:22	在我們眼前，將極大、極重的神跡和奇事，施行在埃及，在法老並他全家的身上， And Jehovah put forth before our eyes great and grievous signs and wonders in Egypt against Pharaoh and all his house.
6:23	將我們從那裏領出來，要領我們進入祂向我們列祖起誓應許之地，把這地賜給我們。 Then He brought us out from there in order to bring us in, that He might give us the land which He swore to our fathers.
6:24	耶和華吩咐我們遵行這一切律例，敬畏耶和華我們的神，使我們常常得福，並蒙祂保全我們的生命，像今日一樣。 And Jehovah commanded us to do all these statutes so that we would fear Jehovah our God for our good always and He would preserve us alive, as we are this day.
6:25	我們若在耶和華我們的神麵前，照祂所吩咐我們的，謹守遵行這一切誡命，這就是我們的義了。 And it will be righteousness to us if we are certain to do all this commandment before Jehovah our God, as He commanded us.
