| 創世記-Genesis 第 21 章 |
| 21:1 | 耶和華按先前的話眷顧撒拉，便照祂所應許的給撒拉成就。 And Jehovah visited Sarah as he had said, and Jehovah did to Sarah as He had promised. |
| 21:2 | 當亞伯拉罕年老的時候，撒拉懷了孕；到神和亞伯拉罕約定的日期，就給亞伯拉罕生了一個兒子。 And Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the appointed time of which God had spoken to him. |
| 21:3 | 亞伯拉罕為撒拉給他生的兒子起名叫以撒。 And Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him, whom Sarah bore to him, Isaac. |
| 21:4 | 以撒生下來第八日，亞伯拉罕照著神所吩咐的，給他的兒子以撒行了割禮。 And Abraham circumcised Isaac his son when he was eight days old, as God had commanded him. |
| 21:5 | 他兒子以撒出生的時候，亞伯拉罕年一百歲。 And Abraham was a hundred years old when Isaac his son was born to him. |
| 21:6 | 撒拉說，神使我歡笑，凡聽見的必與我一同歡笑； And Sarah said, God has made me laugh; everyone who hears will laugh with me. |
| 21:7 | 又說，誰能豫先對亞伯拉罕說，撒拉要乳養兒女呢？然而在他年老的時候，我竟給他生了一個兒子。 And she said, Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne him a son in his old age. |
| 21:8 | 孩子漸長，就斷了奶。以撒斷奶的日子，亞伯拉罕設擺盛大的筵席。 And the child grew and was weaned. And Abraham made a great feast on the day that Isaac was weaned. |
| 21:9 | 當時，撒拉看見埃及人夏甲給亞伯拉罕所生的兒子戲笑， And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she had borne to Abraham, mocking. |
| 21:10 | 就對亞伯拉罕說，你把這使女和她兒子趕出去，因為這使女的兒子不可與我的兒子以撒，一同承受產業。 So she said to Abraham, Cast out this maidservant and her son, for the son of this maidservant shall not inherit with my son Isaac. |
| 21:11 | 亞伯拉罕因他兒子的緣故甚是愁煩。 And the matter displeased Abraham greatly on account of his son. |
| 21:12 | 神對亞伯拉罕說，你不必為這童子和你的使女愁煩。凡撒拉對你說的話，你都要聽；因為從以撒生的，才要稱為你的後裔。 And God said to Abraham, Do not be displeased on account of the boy and on account of your maidservant. Whatever Sarah says to you, listen to her voice, for in Isaac shall your seed be called. |
| 21:13 | 至於使女的兒子，我也必使他成為一國，因為他是你的後裔。 And of the son of the maidservant I will also make a nation, because he is your seed. |
| 21:14 | 亞伯拉罕清早起來，拿餅和一皮袋水，給了夏甲，搭在她的肩上，又把孩子交給她，打發她走。夏甲就走了，在別是巴的曠野走迷了路。 And Abraham rose up early in the morning and took bread and a waterskin full of water and gave them to Hagar, putting them on her shoulder, and gave her the child and sent her away. And she departed and wandered in the wilderness of Beer-sheba. |
| 21:15 | 皮袋的水用盡了，夏甲就把孩子撇在一棵小樹下， When the water in the waterskin was finished, she cast the child under one of the bushes. |
| 21:16 | 自己走開約有一箭之遠，相對而坐，說，我不忍見孩子死，就相對而坐，放聲大哭。 And she went and sat herself down opposite him, a fair distance away, about a bowshot away, for she said, Do not let me look upon the death of the child. And as she sat opposite him, she lifted up her voice and wept. |
| 21:17 | 神聽見童子的聲音；神的使者從天上呼叫夏甲說，夏甲，你怎麼了？不要害怕，神已經聽見童子的聲音了。 And God heard the voice of the boy. And the Angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven and said to her, What troubles you, Hagar? Do not be afraid, for God has heard the voice of the boy where he is. |
| 21:18 | 起來，把童子扶起來牽著；我必使他成為大國。 Rise up; lift up the boy, and hold him with your hand, for I will make him a great nation. |
| 21:19 | 神開了夏甲的眼睛，她就看見一口水井，便去將皮袋盛滿了水，給童子喝。 And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water. And she went and filled the waterskin with water and gave the boy a drink. |
| 21:20 | 神與童子同在，他就漸長，住在曠野，成了弓箭手。 And God was with the boy, and he grew. And he dwelt in the wilderness and became an archer. |
| 21:21 | 他住在巴蘭的曠野；他母親從埃及地給他娶了一個妻子。 And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran. And his mother took a wife for him from the land of Egypt. |
| 21:22 | 當那時候，亞比米勒同他軍長非各對亞伯拉罕說，在你所作的一切事上，神都與你同在。 And at that time Abimelech and Phicol the captain of his army spoke to Abraham, saying, God is with you in all that you do. |
| 21:23 | 我願你如今在這裏指著神對我起誓，不要以詭詐待我與我的子孫後代。我怎樣以恩慈待你，你也要照樣待我，與你所寄居這地的民。 Now therefore swear to me here by God that you will not deal falsely with me or with my offspring or with my posterity. According to the kindness that I have shown to you, you shall do to me and to the land in which you have sojourned. |
| 21:24 | 亞伯拉罕說，我願意起誓。 And Abraham said, I swear it. |
| 21:25 | 從前，亞比米勒的仆人霸占了一口水井，亞伯拉罕為這事指責亞比米勒。 And Abraham confronted Abimelech concerning the well of water which Abimelech's servants had taken by force. |
| 21:26 | 亞比米勒說，誰作這事，我不知道；你也沒有告訴我，今日我才聽見了。 And Abimelech said, I do not know who has done this thing; and you did not tell me about it, nor have I even heard of it until today. |
| 21:27 | 亞伯拉罕把羊和牛給了亞比米勒，二人就彼此立約。 And Abraham took sheep and oxen and gave them to Abimelech. And the two of them made a covenant. |
| 21:28 | 亞伯拉罕把羊群中的七隻母羊羔，另放在一處。 And Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves. |
| 21:29 | 亞比米勒問亞伯拉罕說，你把這七隻母羊羔另放在一處，是什麼意思？ And Abimelech said to Abraham, What is the meaning of these seven ewe lambs which you have set by themselves? |
| 21:30 | 他說，你要從我手裏接受這七隻母羊羔，作我挖這口井的證據。 And he said, These seven ewe lambs you shall take from my hand, that it may be a witness for me that I dug this well. |
| 21:31 | 所以他稱那地方為別是巴，因為他們二人在那裏起了誓。 Therefore he called that place Beer-sheba, because there the two of them swore an oath. |
| 21:32 | 他們在別是巴立了約。亞比米勒就同他軍長非各起身，回非利士人的地去了。 So they made a covenant at Beer-sheba; and Abimelech rose up with Phicol the captain of his host, and they returned into the land of the Philistines. |
| 21:33 | 亞伯拉罕在別是巴栽了一棵垂絲柳樹，又在那裏呼求耶和華永遠之神的名。 And Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beer-sheba, and there he called on the name of Jehovah, the Eternal God. |
| 21:34 | 亞伯拉罕在非利士人的地寄居了多日。 And Abraham sojourned in the land of the Philistines many days. |
