曆代記上-1 Chronicles 第 23 章

23:1大衛年紀老邁，日子滿足，就立他兒子所羅門作以色列的王。
Now when David was old and full of days, he made Solomon his son king over Israel.
23:2大衛招聚以色列的眾首領，以及祭司和利未人。
And he gathered all the leaders of Israel and the priests and the Levites.
23:3利未人從三十歲以上的都被數點，他們男丁的數目共有三萬八千；
And the Levites were numbered from thirty years old and upward; and their number, head by head and man by man, was thirty-eight thousand.
23:4其中有二萬四千人監管耶和華殿的事，有六千人作官長和審判官，
Of these twenty-four thousand were to oversee the work of the house of Jehovah, and six thousand were officers and judges,
23:5有四千人作守門的，又有四千人用大衛所造讚美的樂器讚美耶和華。
And four thousand were gatekeepers, and four thousand were to praise Jehovah with the instruments that I have made for praising, said David.
23:6大衛按利未兒子革順、哥轄、米拉利的家族，將他們分了班次。
And David formed them into divisions according to the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
23:7屬革順人的，有拉但和示每。
Of the Gershonites: Ladan and Shimei.
23:8拉但的兒子，為首的是耶歇，還有細坦和約珥，共三人。
The sons of Ladan: Jehiel the chief and Zetham and Joel, three.
23:9示每的兒子是示羅密、哈薛、哈蘭三人。這些是拉但宗族的首領。
The sons of Shimei: Shelomoth and Haziel and Haran, three. These were the heads of the fathers' houses of Ladan.
23:10示每的兒子是雅哈、細拿、耶烏施、比利亞；這四人是示每的兒子。
And the sons of Shimei: Jahath, Zina, and Jeush, and Beriah. These four were the sons of Shimei.
23:11為首的是雅哈，其次是細撒。但耶烏施和比利亞的子孫不多，所以合算為一個宗族。
And Jahath was the chief, and Zizah the second. But Jeush and Beriah did not have many sons; therefore they became a father's house in one reckoning.
23:12哥轄的兒子是暗蘭、以斯哈、希伯倫、烏薛四人。
The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, four.
23:13暗蘭的兒子是亞倫和摩西。亞倫和他的子孫永遠分別出來，好分別至聖的物，在耶和華麵前燒香，事奉祂，在祂的名裏祝福，直到永遠。
The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses; and Aaron was separated that he might sanctify the most holy things forever, he and his sons, by burning incense before Jehovah, by ministering to Him, and by blessing in His name forever.
23:14至於神人摩西，他子孫的名字列在利未支派中。
And as for Moses the man of God, his sons were named among the tribe of Levi.
23:15摩西的兒子是革舜和以利以謝。
The sons of Moses: Gershom and Eliezer.
23:16革舜的兒子，為首的是細布業；
The sons of Gershom: Shebuel the chief.
23:17以利以謝的兒子，為首的是利哈比雅；以利以謝沒有別的兒子，但利哈比雅的子孫甚多。
And the sons of Eliezer were: Rehabiah the chief; and Eliezer had no other sons, but the sons of Rehabiah were very many.
23:18以斯哈的兒子，為首的是示羅密。
The sons of Izhar: Shelomith the chief.
23:19希伯倫的兒子，為首的是耶利雅，其次是亞瑪利亞，第三是雅哈悉，第四是耶加麵。
The sons of Hebron: Jeriah the chief, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.
23:20烏薛的兒子，為首的是米迦，其次是耶西雅。
The sons of Uzziel: Micah the chief and Isshiah the second.
23:21米拉利的兒子是抹利和母示。抹利的兒子是以利亞撒和基士。
The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. The sons of Mahli: Eleazar and Kish.
23:22以利亞撒死了，沒有兒子，隻有女兒；她們的族弟兄，基士的兒子們，娶了她們為妻。
And Eleazar died and had no sons, only daughters; and their brothers the sons of Kish took them as their wives.
23:23母示的兒子是末力、以得、耶利摩三人。
The sons of Mushi: Mahli and Eder and Jeremoth, three.
23:24以上是利未的子孫，按他們的宗族，作宗族的首領，照人名的數目，逐一數點，從二十歲以上，都作耶和華殿事奉之工。
These were the sons of Levi according to their fathers' houses, the heads of the fathers' houses of those who had been counted, by the number of names, head by head, who did the work for the service of the house of Jehovah, from twenty years old and upwar
23:25大衛說，耶和華以色列的神已經使祂的百姓得安息，祂必永遠住在耶路撒冷；
For David said, Jehovah the God of Israel has given rest to His people, and He will dwell in Jerusalem forever;
23:26利未人也不必再抬帳幕，和其中一切事奉用的器皿了。
And also the Levites need not carry the tabernacle and all its vessels for its service.
23:27照著大衛末了所吩咐的，利未的子孫從二十歲以上的都被數點。
For by the last words of David the sons of Levi were numbered from twenty years and upward.
23:28他們的職任是輔助亞倫的子孫，在耶和華的殿事奉，照管院子和房屋，並潔淨一切聖物，就是作神殿事奉之工；
For their station was alongside the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of Jehovah in the courts and in the chambers and in the purifying of all the holy things, that is, the work of the service of the house of God;
23:29並管理陳設餅、素祭的細麵、無酵薄餅、煎盤上作的物、用油調透的物，又管理各樣量度容量和尺寸的器具；
And for the rows of bread and the fine flour of the meal offering and the unleavened wafers and what is baked in the pan and what is mixed with oil and all measures of quantity and size;
23:30每日早晨，站立稱謝讚美耶和華，晚上也是如此；
And to stand morning by morning to thank and praise Jehovah, and likewise in the evening;
23:31又照管一切向耶和華獻燔祭的事，在安息日、月朔並節期，按數照例，不斷的在耶和華麵前獻上；
And to offer all the burnt offerings to Jehovah, according to the number ordained for them, on the Sabbaths, at the new moons, and on the appointed feasts, continually before Jehovah;
23:32又看守會幕和聖所，並守耶和華所吩咐他們弟兄亞倫子孫的，在耶和華的殿事奉。
And they were to keep the charge of the Tent of Meeting and the charge of the sanctuary and the charge of the sons of Aaron their brothers for the service of the house of Jehovah.
