箴言-Proverbs 第 15 章

15:1回答柔和，使怒消退；言語暴戾，激起怒氣。
A soft answer turns away anger, But a grievous word stirs up anger.
15:2智慧人的舌善發知識，愚昧人的口吐出愚妄。
The tongue of the wise utters knowledge well, But the mouth of fools pours out folly.
15:3耶和華的眼目無處不在；惡人善人，祂都鑒察。
The eyes of Jehovah are in every place, Keeping watch on the evil and the good.
15:4安慰人的舌是生命樹；乖謬人的嘴使靈憂傷。
A soothing tongue is a tree of life, But perverseness in it is a breaking of the spirit.
15:5愚妄人藐視父親的管教；領受責備的，乃是精明。
A fool despises his father's correction, But he who regards reproof gets prudence.
15:6義人的家中多有財寶；惡人的進項帶來擾害。
In the house of the righteous man there is much treasure, But in the income of the wicked there is trouble.
15:7智慧人的嘴播揚知識；愚昧人的心並不如此。
The lips of the wise disperse knowledge, But the heart of fools does not do so.
15:8惡人獻祭，為耶和華所憎惡；正直人禱告，為祂所喜悅。
The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to Jehovah, But the prayer of the upright is His delight.
15:9惡人的道路，為耶和華所憎惡；追求公義的，為祂所喜愛。
The way of the wicked man is an abomination to Jehovah, But He loves one who pursues righteousness.
15:10舍棄正路的，必受嚴懲；恨惡責備的，必致死亡。
There is grievous correction for one who forsakes the way, And he who hates reproof will die.
15:11陰間和滅亡尚且敞露在耶和華麵前，何況世人的心呢！
Sheol and Abaddon lie open before Jehovah. How much more the hearts of the children of men!
15:12褻慢人不愛責備他的人，也不就近智慧人。
A scorner does not love him who reproves him; He will not go to the wise.
15:13心中喜樂，使麵容煥發；心裏憂愁，靈受損傷。
A joyful heart makes a cheerful countenance, But by sorrow of heart the spirit is broken.
15:14聰明人的心尋求知識；愚昧人的口以愚妄為糧。
The heart of one who has understanding seeks knowledge, But the mouth of fools feeds on folly.
15:15困苦人的日子，都是禍患；心中歡暢的，常享筵席。
All the days of the afflicted are evil, But he who is of a cheerful heart has a continual feast.
15:16少有財寶，敬畏耶和華，強如多有財寶，煩亂不安。
Better is a little with the fear of Jehovah Than great treasure and turmoil with it.
15:17吃素菜而彼此相愛，強如吃肥牛卻帶仇恨。
Better is a dinner of vegetables where love is Than a fattened ox and hatred with it.
15:18暴怒的人挑啟爭端；不輕易發怒的人止息紛爭。
A wrathful man stirs up contention, But he who is slow to anger quiets strife.
15:19懶惰人的道路像荊棘的籬笆；正直人的路徑是修平的大道。
The way of the sluggard is like a hedge of thorns, But the path of the upright is paved.
15:20智慧之子使父親喜樂，愚昧的人藐視母親。
A wise son makes a father glad, But a foolish man despises his mother.
15:21無知的人以愚妄為樂，聰明的人按正直而行。
Folly is joy to him who lacks sense, But a man of understanding makes straight his going.
15:22不先商議，所謀挫敗；謀士眾多，所謀成就。
Where there is no counsel, plans are frustrated; But in the multitude of counselors they are established.
15:23口善應對，自覺喜樂；言語合時，何等美好！
A man has joy in the apt answer of his mouth; And a word in its season, how good it is!
15:24生命的道路領智慧人向上，使他遠離在下的陰間。
To the wise man the way of life leads upward, That he may depart from Sheol below.
15:25耶和華必拆毀驕傲人的家，卻要立定寡婦的地界。
Jehovah will tear down the house of the proud, But He will establish the territory of the widow.
15:26邪惡的計謀為耶和華所憎惡，可喜悅的話乃為純淨。
Evil plans are an abomination to Jehovah, But pleasant words are pure.
15:27貪戀財利的，擾害己家；恨惡賄賂的，必得存活。
He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house, But he who hates bribes will live.
15:28義人的心，思量如何回答；惡人的口，吐出惡言。
The heart of the righteous man ponders how to answer, But the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things.
15:29耶和華遠離惡人，卻聽義人的禱告。
Jehovah is far from the wicked, But He hears the prayer of the righteous.
15:30眼有光，使心喜樂；好信息，使骨滋潤。
The light of the eyes rejoices the heart, And good news makes the bones fat.
15:31耳聽生命責備的，必住在智慧人中。
The ear that listens to the reproof of life Will lodge among the wise.
15:32忽視管教的，輕看自己的性命；聽從責備的，卻得聰明。
He who ignores instruction despises his own soul, But he who listens to reproof acquires understanding.
15:33敬畏耶和華是智慧的訓誨，尊榮以前必有謙卑。
The fear of Jehovah is the instruction of wisdom, And humility comes before honor.
