使徒行傳-Acts 第 6 章

6:1	那些日子，門徒繁增，有說希利尼話的猶太人，埋怨希伯來人，因為在每天的供給上，忽略了他們的寡婦。 And in these days, as the disciples were multiplying in number, a murmuring of the Hellenists against the Hebrews occurred, because their widows were being overlooked in the daily dispensing.
6:2	於是十二使徒召眾門徒來，說，我們撇下神的話去服事飯食，原是不相宜的。 And the twelve called the multitude of the disciples to them and said, It is not fitting for us to forsake the word of God and serve tables.
6:3	所以弟兄們，當從你們中間揀選七個有好見證，滿有那靈和智慧的人，我們就派他們管理這事。 But brothers, look for seven well-attested men from among you, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we will appoint over this need.
6:4	但我們要堅定持續的禱告，並盡話語的職事。 But we will continue steadfastly in prayer and in the ministry of the word.
6:5	這話使眾人都喜悅，他們就揀選了司提反，乃是滿有信心和聖靈的人，又有腓利、伯羅哥羅、尼迦挪、提門、巴米拿，並入猶太教的安提阿人尼哥拉， And the word pleased all the multitude; and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip and Prochorus and Nicanor and Timon and Parmenas and Nicolas, a proselyte of Antioch,
6:6	叫他們站在使徒麵前；使徒禱告了，就按手在他們身上。 Whom they set before the apostles; and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.
6:7	神的話擴長起來，在耶路撒冷門徒的數目大為繁增，也有大群的祭司順從了這信仰。 And the word of God grew, and the number of the disciples in Jerusalem multiplied greatly; and a large number of the priests obeyed the faith.
6:8	司提反滿有恩典和能力，在民間行了大奇事和神跡。 And Stephen, full of grace and power, did great wonders and signs among the people.
6:9	當時有一些稱為利百地拿會堂的人，並古利奈、亞力山大、基利家、和亞西亞等各處會堂的人都起來，和司提反辯論。 But some of those of the synagogue which is called the synagogue of the Libertines and of the Cyrenians and of the Alexandrians and of those from Cilicia and Asia rose up and disputed with Stephen;
6:10	司提反憑智慧和那靈說話，他們抵擋不住。 Yet they were not able to withstand the wisdom and the Spirit with which he spoke.
6:11	於是他們教唆人，說，我們聽見他說謗讟摩西和神的話。 Then they instigated some men to say, We have heard him speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God.
6:12	並且他們聳動了百姓、長老和經學家，他們就忽然來捉住他，把他帶到議會去， And they stirred up the people and the elders and the scribes, and they came upon him and seized him and led him to the Sanhedrin.
6:13	設下假見證人，說，這個人說話，不住的糟踐這聖地和律法。 And they set up false witnesses, saying, This man does not cease speaking words against this holy place and the law,
6:14	我們曾聽見他說，這拿撒勒人耶穌要毀壞此地，也要改變摩西所交給我們的規例。 For we have heard him saying that this Jesus the Nazarene will destroy this place and will change the customs which Moses delivered to us.
6:15	在議會裏坐著的人，都定睛看他，見他的麵貌好像天使的麵貌。 And all those sitting in the Sanhedrin looked intently at him and saw his face as though it were the face of an angel.
