| 7:1 | 大祭司就說，果真有這些事麼？ And the high priest said, Are these things so? |
| 7:2 | 司提反說，諸位，弟兄父老請聽。當日我們的祖宗亞伯拉罕在米所波大米還未住哈蘭的時候，榮耀的神向他顯現， And he said, Men, brothers and fathers, listen. The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham while he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Haran, |
| 7:3 | 對他說，“你要從你本地和你親族中出來，往我所要指示你的地去。” And said to him, "Come out from your land and from your relatives, and come into the land which I will show you.'' |
| 7:4 | 他就從迦勒底人之地出來，住在哈蘭。他父親死了以後，神使他從那裏遷到你們現在所住之地。 Then he came forth from the land of the Chaldeans and dwelt in Haran. And from there, after his father died, He removed him into this land, in which you now dwell. |
| 7:5 | 在這地，神並沒有給他產業，連立足之地也沒有；但應許要將這地賜給他和他的後裔為業，那時他還沒有孩子。 Yet He did not give him an inheritance in it, not even a place to set his foot on; and He promised to give it to him for a possession and to his seed after him, while he had no child. |
| 7:6 | 神這樣說：“他的後裔必在別族之地作寄居的，那裏的人要奴役他們，苦待他們四百年。” And God spoke in this way that his seed would be a sojourner in a foreign land, and they would enslave them and mistreat them four hundred years. |
| 7:7 | 神又說，“他們所服事的那國，我要審判，以後他們要出來，在這地方事奉我。” "And whatever nation they will serve as slaves I will judge,'' said God, "and after these things they will come forth and serve Me as priests in this place.'' |
| 7:8 | 神又賜他割禮的約，於是亞伯拉罕生了以撒，第八日給他行了割禮；以撒生雅各，雅各生十二位先祖。 And He gave to him a covenant of circumcision; and thus Abraham begot Isaac and circumcised him on the eighth day; and Isaac, Jacob; and Jacob, the twelve patriarchs. |
| 7:9 | 先祖嫉妒約瑟，把他賣到埃及去，神卻與他同在， And the patriarchs became jealous of Joseph and sold him into Egypt; yet God was with him |
| 7:10 | 救他脫離一切的苦難，又在埃及王法老麵前，給他恩典和智慧，法老就派他作宰相，管理埃及和法老全家。 And rescued him out of all his afflictions and granted him favor and wisdom before Pharaoh, king of Egypt; and he appointed him governor over Egypt and over all his house. |
| 7:11 | 後來埃及和迦南全地遭遇饑荒，大受患難，我們的祖宗就絕了糧。 And a famine came over all Egypt and Canaan as well as great affliction; and our fathers could find no sustenance. |
| 7:12 | 雅各聽見在埃及有糧，就初次打發我們的祖宗去。 But when Jacob heard that there was grain in Egypt, he sent our fathers out the first time. |
| 7:13 | 第二次約瑟與他的弟兄們相認，他的家族也被法老知道了。 And during the second time Joseph was made known to his brothers, and Joseph's race became manifest to Pharaoh. |
| 7:14 | 約瑟就打發弟兄，請他父親雅各和他全體親族七十五人都來。 And Joseph sent word and called for Jacob his father and all his family, seventy-five souls in all. |
| 7:15 | 於是雅各下了埃及，後來他和我們的祖宗都死了， And Jacob went down into Egypt; and he ended his days, he and our fathers. |
| 7:16 | 又被遷到示劍，安放於亞伯拉罕在示劍用價銀從哈抹子孫買來的墳墓裏。 And they were carried over to Shechem and placed in the tomb which Abraham had bought for a sum of silver from the sons of Hamor in Shechem. |
| 7:17 | 及至神向亞伯拉罕所宣告應許的時期臨近，以色列民在埃及增長繁多， But as the time of the promise which God had assured to Abraham drew near, the people grew and were multiplied in Egypt, |
| 7:18 | 直到有另一個不曉得約瑟的王興起，治理埃及。 Until another king rose up over Egypt who did not know of Joseph. |
| 7:19 | 他用詭計待我們的宗族，苦害我們的祖宗，叫他們丟棄嬰孩，使嬰孩不能存活。 This one dealt craftily with our race and mistreated our fathers, so that they threw out their babies in order that they would not be kept alive. |
| 7:20 | 那時，摩西生下來，俊美非凡，在他父親家裏撫養了三個月。 At this time Moses was born and was lovely to God. And he was nurtured three months in his father's house. |
| 7:21 | 他被丟棄的時候，法老的女兒將他拾去，收養為自己的兒子。 And when he was thrown out, Pharaoh's daughter took him up and nurtured him as a son for herself. |
| 7:22 | 摩西在埃及人的一切智慧上受了訓練，說話行事都有能力。 And Moses was educated in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and he was powerful in his words and works. |
| 7:23 | 他將到四十歲的時候，心中起意，去看望他的弟兄以色列子孫。 But when he was approaching forty years of age, it came into his heart to visit his brothers, the sons of Israel. |
| 7:24 | 他見有一個人被欺負，就護庇他，為那受欺壓的人報仇，打死了那埃及人。 And when he saw one of them being wronged, he defended him, and he avenged him who was being oppressed by striking the Egyptian dead. |
| 7:25 | 他以為弟兄必明白神是藉著他的手向他們施行拯救，他們卻不明白。 And he supposed that his brothers understood that God through his hand was giving salvation to them; but they did not understand. |
| 7:26 | 第二天，有人在爭鬥，摩西出麵想要使他們和睦，說，諸位，你們是弟兄，為什麼彼此欺負？ And on the following day he appeared to them as they were fighting and tried to reconcile them in peace, saying, Men, you are brothers. Why are you wronging one another? |
| 7:27 | 那欺負鄰舍的把他推開，說，“誰立你作我們的首領和審判官？ But the one who was wronging his neighbor pushed him away, saying, "Who appointed you a ruler and a judge over us? |
| 7:28 | 難道你想要殺我，像昨天殺那埃及人一樣麼？” Do you want to do away with me the same way you did away with the Egyptian yesterday?'' |
| 7:29 | 摩西因這話就逃走了，在米甸地寄居，在那裏生了兩個兒子。 And Moses fled at this word and became a sojourner in the land of Midian, where he begot two sons. |
| 7:30 | 滿了四十年，在西乃山的曠野，有一位天使在荊棘火焰中向摩西顯現。 And when forty years had been fulfilled, an Angel appeared to him in the wilderness of Mount Sinai in the flame of a thornbush fire. |
| 7:31 | 摩西見了那異象，便覺希奇；他正上前察看的時候，有主的聲音說， And when Moses saw it, he marveled at the vision; and as he approached to examine it, there came the voice of the Lord: |
| 7:32 | “我是你祖宗的神，就是亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各的神。”摩西戰戰兢兢，不敢察看。 "I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob.'' And Moses trembled and dared not examine it. |
| 7:33 | 主對他說，“把你腳上的鞋脫下來，因為你所站的地方乃是聖地。 And the Lord said to him, "Untie the sandals from your feet, for the place on which you stand is holy ground. |
| 7:34 | 我的百姓在埃及所受的苦害，我實在看見了，他們的歎息，我也聽見了，我下來要救他們。現在你來，我要差你往埃及去。” I have surely seen the ill-treatment of My people who are in Egypt and have heard their groaning, and I have come down to rescue them. And now, come, I will send you into Egypt.'' |
| 7:35 | 這摩西，就是他們曾棄絕說，誰立你作首領和審判官的，神卻藉著那在荊棘中向他顯現之使者的手，差派他作首領，作救贖者。 This Moses, whom they refused, saying, Who appointed you a ruler and a judge? this one God has sent as both a ruler and a redeemer, along with the hand of the Angel who appeared to him in the thornbush. |
| 7:36 | 這人領百姓出來，在埃及地、在紅海、在曠野，四十年間行了奇事神跡。 This man led them out, doing wonders and signs in the land of Egypt and in the Red Sea and in the wilderness for forty years. |
| 7:37 | 那曾對以色列子孫說，“神要從你們弟兄中間，給你們興起一位申言者像我”的，就是這位摩西。 This is the Moses who said to the sons of Israel, "A Prophet will God raise up unto you from your brothers, like me.'' |
| 7:38 | 這人曾在曠野會中，與那在西乃山上對他說話的使者同在，又與我們的祖宗同在，並且領受活的諭言傳給我們。 This is the one who was in the assembly in the wilderness with the Angel who spoke to him in Mount Sinai and with our fathers, and who received living oracles to give to us. |
| 7:39 | 我們的祖宗不肯順從，反倒棄絕他，心裏轉向埃及， To him our fathers were not willing to become obedient, but thrust him away and turned in their hearts to Egypt, |
| 7:40 | 對亞倫說，“你且為我們造些神像，可以在我們前麵引路；因為領我們出埃及地的那個摩西，我們不知道他遭遇了什麼事。” Saying to Aaron, "Make gods for us who will go before us; for this Moses, who has led us out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has happened to him.'' |
| 7:41 | 當那些日子，他們造了一個牛犢，又拿祭物獻給那偶像，並因自己手中的工作而歡樂。 And they made a calf in those days and brought up a sacrifice to the idol and were glad with the works of their hands. |
| 7:42 | 神就轉開，任憑他們事奉天象，正如眾申言者書上所寫的：“以色列家啊，你們四十年間在曠野，豈是將犧牲和祭物獻給我麼？ But God turned and delivered them up to serve the host of heaven, even as it is written in the book of the prophets, "Did you offer slain beasts and sacrifices to Me for forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel? |
| 7:43 | 你們抬著摩洛的帳幕，和理番神的星，就是你們所造為要敬拜的像。因此，我要把你們遷徙到巴比倫以外去。” And you took up the tabernacle of Moloch and the star of your god Rompha, the images which you made to worship. And I will carry you away beyond Babylon.'' |
| 7:44 | 我們的祖宗在曠野有見證的帳幕，是照那對摩西說話者所吩咐，按他所看見的樣式作的。 The tabernacle of testimony was with our fathers in the wilderness, even as He who spoke to Moses instructed him to make it, according to the pattern which he had seen. |
| 7:45 | 這帳幕，我們的祖宗相繼承受，當神在他們麵前趕出外邦人的時候，他們同約書亞把帳幕搬進承受為業之地，直到大衛的日子。 This tabernacle our fathers, having in their turn received, also brought in with Joshua when they took possession of the nations, whom God drove out before the face of our fathers until the days of David, |
| 7:46 | 大衛在神麵前蒙恩，祈求為雅各的神尋得居所， Who found favor before God and asked to find a habitation for the God of Jacob. |
| 7:47 | 卻由所羅門為神建造殿宇。 But Solomon built Him a house. |
| 7:48 | 其實至高者並不住人手所造的，就如申言者所說， Yet the Most High does not dwell in that which is made by hands, even as the prophet says, |
| 7:49 | “主說，天是我的座位，地是我的腳凳，你們要為我造怎樣的殿宇，那裏是我安息的地方？ "Heaven is My throne, and the earth is a footstool for My feet. What kind of house will you build for Me, says the Lord, or what is the place of My rest? |
| 7:50 | 這一切不都是我手所造的麼？” Has not My hand made all these things?'' |
| 7:51 | 你們這硬著頸項，心與耳未受割禮的人，時常抗拒聖靈，你們的祖宗怎樣，你們也怎樣。 You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in hearts and ears, you always oppose the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, you also do. |
| 7:52 | 那一個申言者不是你們祖宗所逼迫的？他們也把預先宣告那義者要來的人殺了，如今你們又把那義者賣了，殺了。 Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? And they killed those who announced beforehand concerning the coming of the righteous One, whose betrayers and murderers you have now become, |
| 7:53 | 你們受了那成為天使典章的律法，竟不遵守。 You who received the law as ordinances of angels and did not keep it. |
| 7:54 | 眾人聽見這話，心裏極其惱怒，就向司提反咬牙切齒。 Now as they heard these things, they were exasperated and gnashed their teeth at him. |
| 7:55 | 但司提反滿有聖靈，定睛望天，看見神的榮耀，又看見耶穌站在神的右邊， But being full of the Holy Spirit, he looked intently into heaven and saw the glory of God and Jesus standing at the right hand of God; |
| 7:56 | 就說，看哪，我看見諸天開了，人子站在神的右邊。 And he said, Behold, I see the heavens opened up and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God. |
| 7:57 | 眾人大聲喊叫，捂著耳朵，同心合意的衝向他去， But they cried out with a loud voice and covered their ears and rushed upon him with one accord. |
| 7:58 | 把他推到城外，用石頭打他。作見證的人把自己的衣服，放在一個名叫掃羅的青年人腳前。 And they threw him outside of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their garments at the feet of a young man called Saul. |
| 7:59 | 他們正用石頭打的時候，司提反呼求說，主耶穌，求你接收我的靈！ And they stoned Stephen as he called upon the Lord and said, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit! |
| 7:60 | 又跪下，大聲喊著說，主啊，不要將這罪歸與他們！說了這話，就睡了。掃羅也讚同他被殺。 And kneeling down, he cried out with a loud voice, Lord, do not hold this sin against them. And when he had said this, he fell asleep. |
