| 12:1 | 那時，希律王下手苦害召會中的幾個人， Now about that time Herod the king laid hands on some from the church in order to mistreat them. |
| 12:2 | 用刀殺了約翰的哥哥雅各。 And he did away with James, the brother of John, with the sword. |
| 12:3 | 他見猶太人喜歡這事，又去捉拿彼得，那時正是除酵的日子。 And when he saw that it was pleasing to the Jews, he went on to arrest Peter also (now those were the days of Unleavened Bread), |
| 12:4 | 希律拿了彼得，收在監裏，交付四班兵丁看守，打算要在逾越節後，把他提出來，交給百姓。 Whom also he seized and put in prison, delivering him to four quaternions of soldiers to guard him, intending after the Passover to bring him out to the people. |
| 12:5 | 於是彼得被囚在監裏，召會就為他切切的禱告神。 So then Peter was kept in the prison; but prayer was being made fervently by the church to God concerning him. |
| 12:6 | 希律將要提他出來的時候，那夜彼得被兩條鐵鏈捆鎖，睡在兩個兵丁當中，還有守衛在門外看守監牢。 And when Herod was about to bring him forward, that night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains; and guards before the door were keeping the prison. |
| 12:7 | 看哪，有主的一位使者站在旁邊，囚室裏有光照耀；天使拍彼得的肋旁，叫醒了他，說，快快起來。那鐵鏈就從他手上脫落下來。 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shined in the cell; and he struck Peter's side and roused him, saying, Rise up quickly. And his chains fell off his hands. |
| 12:8 | 天使對他說，束上帶子，穿上鞋。他就那樣作。天使又對他說，披上外衣跟著我來。 And the angel said to him, Gird yourself and tie on your sandals. And he did so. And he said to him, Throw your cloak around you and follow me. |
| 12:9 | 彼得就出來跟著他，不知道那藉著天使所作的事是真的，還以為是見了異象。 And he went out and followed him; yet he did not know that what was taking place through the angel was real, but thought that he was seeing a vision. |
| 12:10 | 過了第一道和第二道監牢，就來到通往城內的鐵門，那門自動給他們開了。他們出來，走過一條街，天使隨即離開他去了。 And passing the first guard and the second, they came to the iron gate that leads into the city, which opened of itself to them. And going out, they went forward one lane; and immediately the angel departed from him. |
| 12:11 | 彼得清醒過來，說，我現在真知道主差遣祂的使者，救我脫離希律的手，和猶太百姓一切所期待的。 And Peter came to himself and said, Now I know truly that the Lord has sent forth His angel and rescued me out of Herod's hand and from all the expectation of the Jewish people. |
| 12:12 | 他既明白過來，就往那稱呼馬可的約翰他母親馬利亞家去，在那裏有好些人聚集禱告。 And when he became aware of this, he went to the house of Mary, the mother of John, who was surnamed Mark, where there was a considerable number assembled together and praying. |
| 12:13 | 彼得敲了外門，有一個使女，名叫羅大，上前來探聽。 And when he knocked at the door of the entry, a maiden named Rhoda came to listen. |
| 12:14 | 她認出是彼得的聲音，就歡喜得顧不得開門，跑進去報告說，彼得站在門外。 And when she recognized Peter's voice, she did not open the gate for joy, but ran in and reported that Peter was standing before the entry. |
| 12:15 | 他們對她說，你瘋了！使女卻極力的說是這樣。他們說，必是他的天使。 But they said to her, You are crazy! But she insisted that it was so. And they said, It is his angel. |
| 12:16 | 彼得不住的敲門，他們開了門，看見他，就甚驚奇。 But Peter continued knocking; and when they had opened the gate, they saw him and were beside themselves. |
| 12:17 | 彼得擺手，叫他們靜默下來，就向他們述說主怎樣領他出監，又說，你們把這事報告雅各和眾弟兄。於是出去往別處去了。 And motioning to them with his hand to be silent, he related to them how the Lord had led him out of the prison, and he said, Report these things to James and the brothers. And going out, he went to another place. |
| 12:18 | 到了天亮，兵丁之中起了不小的騷亂，不知道彼得出了什麼事。 Now when it became day, there was no small disturbance among the soldiers, they not knowing what had become of Peter. |
| 12:19 | 希律急切的尋找他，卻找不著，就審問守衛，吩咐把他們拉去殺了。後來希律離開猶太，下該撒利亞去，住在那裏。 And when Herod searched for him and did not find him, he examined the guards and ordered that they be led off to execution. And he went down from Judea to Caesarea and spent time there. |
| 12:20 | 希律惱怒推羅和西頓的人；他們就同心合意的來到他那裏，托王的內侍臣伯拉斯都說情，向王求和，因為他們那一帶地方，是從王的地土得糧。 Now he was furious with the Tyrians and Sidonians. And they came to him with one accord; and having persuaded Blastus, the king's chamberlain, they asked for peace, because their country was fed from the king's country. |
| 12:21 | 希律在所定的日子，穿上朝服，坐在審判台上，對他們講論一番。 And on an appointed day Herod arrayed himself in royal clothing and sat on the judgment seat; and he delivered a public address to them. |
| 12:22 | 民眾喊著說，這是神的聲音，不是人的聲音。 And the populace cried out, The voice of a god and not of a man! |
| 12:23 | 主的使者立刻擊打希律，因為他不歸榮耀給神；他被蟲所咬，氣就斷了。 And instantly an angel of the Lord struck him because he did not give the glory to God; and he was eaten by worms and expired. |
| 12:24 | 但神的話卻日見擴長，越發繁增。 But the word of God grew and multiplied. |
| 12:25 | 巴拿巴和掃羅辦完了供給的事，就從耶路撒冷回去，帶著稱呼馬可的約翰同去。 And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, having completed the dispensing; and they took along with them John, who was surnamed Mark. |
