撒母耳記下-2 Samuel 第 8 章

8:1	此後，大衛攻打非利士人，把他們製伏，從他們手中奪取了京城的控製權。 And after this David struck the Philistines and subdued them. And David took control of the chief city out of the hand of the Philistines.
8:2	他又攻打摩押人，使他們躺臥在地上，用繩量一量；他量出二繩來，把他們殺了，量出一滿繩來，讓他們存活。摩押人就臣服於大衛，給他進貢。 And he struck Moab. And making them lie down on the ground, he measured them with a measuring line; and he measured out two lengths of them to be put to death and one full length to be kept alive. And the Moabites became servants to David and brought tribute.
8:3	瑣巴王利合的兒子哈大底謝往大河去，要恢複他的國權；大衛就攻打他， Then David struck Hadadezer the son of Rehob, the king of Zobah, when he went to recover his power at the River.
8:4	從他那裏擒拿了馬兵一千七百，步兵二萬。大衛將拉戰車的馬砍斷蹄筋，隻留下足彀拉一百輛車的馬。 And David took from him a thousand seven hundred horsemen and twenty thousand foot soldiers. And David hamstrung all the chariot horses but left enough of them for a hundred chariots.
8:5	大馬色的亞蘭人來幫助瑣巴王哈大底謝，大衛就殺了亞蘭人二萬二千。 And when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadadezer the king of Zobah, David struck twenty-two thousand men among the Syrians.
8:6	於是大衛在大馬色的亞蘭人中間設立防營，亞蘭人就臣服於他，給他進貢。大衛無論往那裏去，耶和華都使他得勝。 And David put garrisons among the Syrians of Damascus, and the Syrians became servants to David and brought tribute. And Jehovah preserved David wherever he went.
8:7	他奪了哈大底謝臣仆所拿的金盾牌，帶到耶路撒冷。 And David took the shields of gold that were with the servants of Hadadezer and brought them to Jerusalem.
8:8	大衛王又從屬哈大底謝的比他和比羅他城中，奪取了許多的銅。 And from Betah and Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, King David took very much bronze.
8:9	哈馬王陀以聽見大衛殺敗哈大底謝的全軍， Then when Toi the king of Hamath heard that David had struck down all the army of Hadadezer,
8:10	就打發他兒子約蘭去見大衛王，問他的安，祝賀他，因為他攻打哈大底謝，擊敗了他；原來陀以與哈大底謝常常爭戰。約蘭手中帶著金銀銅的物件而來， Toi sent Joram his son to King David to greet him and congratulate him for fighting against Hadadezer and striking him down, for Hadadezer had been at war with Toi. And in Joram's hand were articles of silver and of gold and of bronze.
8:11	大衛王將這些物件，連同他從所製伏的各國得來而分別為聖的金銀，都分別為聖歸給耶和華， King David consecrated these also to Jehovah along with the silver and gold that he consecrated from all the nations that he had subdued:
8:12	就是從亞蘭人、摩押人、亞捫人、非利士人、亞瑪力人所得來的，以及從瑣巴王利合的兒子哈大底謝所掠之物。 From the Syrians and from the Moabites and from the children of Ammon and from the Philistines and from the Amalekites and from the spoil of Hadadezer the son of Rehob, the king of Zobah.
8:13	大衛在鹽穀擊殺了亞蘭一萬八千人回來，就得了名聲； And David made a name for himself when he returned from striking down the Syrians in the Valley of Salt, that is, eighteen thousand men.
8:14	又在全以東設立防營，以東就都臣服於大衛。大衛無論往那裏去，耶和華都使他得勝。 And he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom he put garrisons; and all the Edomites became servants to David. And Jehovah preserved David wherever he went.
8:15	大衛作全以色列的王，又向眾民施行公理和公義。 So David reigned over all Israel, and David executed justice and righteousness for all his people.
8:16	洗魯雅的兒子約押統領軍隊，亞希律的兒子約沙法作記事官， And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the army, and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder.
8:17	亞希突的兒子撒督，和亞比亞他的兒子亞希米勒作祭司，西萊雅作書記， And Zadok the son of Ahitub and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar were priests, and Seraiah was scribe.
8:18	耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅統管基利提人和比利提人，大衛的眾子都作領袖。 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites, and David's sons were his chief ministers.
