創世記-Genesis 第 28 章

28:1	以撒叫了雅各來，給他祝福，並囑咐他說，你不要娶迦南的女子為妻。 And Isaac called Jacob and blessed him; and he charged him and said to him, You shall not take a wife from the daughters of Canaan.
28:2	你起身往巴旦亞蘭去，到你外祖父彼土利家裏，在你母舅拉班的女兒中娶一個為妻。 Rise up, go to Paddan-aram, to the house of Bethuel your mother's father; and take from there a wife from the daughters of Laban your mother's brother.
28:3	願全足的神賜福給你，使你繁衍增多，成為多族； And may the All-sufficient God bless you and make you fruitful and multiply you, that you may become a company of peoples.
28:4	願祂將應許亞伯拉罕的福賜給你和你的後裔，使你承受你所寄居的地為業，就是神賜給亞伯拉罕的地。 And may He give you the blessing of Abraham, to you and to your seed with you, that you may possess the land of your sojournings, which God gave to Abraham.
28:5	以撒打發雅各走了，他就往巴旦亞蘭去，到亞蘭人彼土利的兒子拉班那裏；拉班是雅各、以掃的母親利百加的哥哥。 And Isaac sent Jacob away, and he went to Paddan-aram, to Laban the son of Bethuel the Aramaean, the brother of Rebekah, Jacob's and Esau's mother.
28:6	以掃見以撒已經給雅各祝福，打發他往巴旦亞蘭去，在那裏娶妻，並見以撒祝福的時候囑咐他說，不要娶迦南的女子為妻， Now Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob and had sent him away to Paddan-aram to take a wife from there, and that when he blessed him, he charged him, saying, You shall not take a wife from the daughters of Canaan,
28:7	又見雅各聽從父母的話，往巴旦亞蘭去了， And that Jacob had obeyed his father and his mother and had gone to Paddan-aram.
28:8	以掃就看出他父親以撒不喜歡迦南的女子， So Esau saw that the daughters of Canaan displeased Isaac his father.
28:9	便往以實瑪利那裏去，在他兩個妻子之外，又娶了瑪哈拉為妻。她是亞伯拉罕兒子以實瑪利的女兒，尼拜約的妹妹。 Then Esau went to Ishmael and took Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael, Abraham's son, and the sister of Nebaioth to be his wife, in addition to the wives that he had.
28:10	雅各出了別是巴，向哈蘭走去； And Jacob went out from Beer-sheba and went toward Haran.
28:11	到了一個地方，因為太陽落了，就在那裏過夜；他拾起那地方的一塊石頭枕在頭下，在那裏躺臥睡了。 And he came to a certain place and spent the night there, because the sun had set; and he took one of the stones of the place and put it under his head, and he lay down in that place.
28:12	他夢見一個梯子立在地上，梯子的頂通著天，有神的使者在梯子上，上去下來。 And he dreamed: There was a ladder set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.
28:13	耶和華站在梯子以上，說，我是耶和華你祖亞伯拉罕的神，也是以撒的神；我要將你現在所躺臥之地，賜給你和你的後裔。 And there was Jehovah, standing above it; and He said, I am Jehovah, the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac. The land on which you lie, I will give to you and to your seed.
28:14	你的後裔必像地上的塵沙那樣多，必向東西南北開展；地上萬族必因你和你的後裔得福。 And your seed will be as the dust of the earth, and you will spread abroad to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south, and in you and in your seed will all the families of the earth be blessed.
28:15	看哪，我與你同在；你無論往那裏去，我必保守你，使你歸回這地。我總不離棄你，直到我成就了向你所應許的。 And, behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go and will cause you to return to this land, for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.
28:16	雅各睡醒了，就說，耶和華真在這地方，我竟不知道。 And Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, Surely Jehovah is in this place, and I did not know it.
28:17	他就懼怕，說，這地方何等可畏！這不是別的，乃是神的家，也是天的門。 And he was afraid and said, How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.
28:18	雅各清早起來，把所枕的石頭立作柱子，澆油在上麵。 And Jacob rose up early in the morning and took the stone that he had put under his head, and he set it up as a pillar and poured oil on top of it.
28:19	他就給那地方起名叫伯特利；但那城起先名叫路斯。 And he called the name of that place Bethel, but the name of the city was Luz previously.
28:20	雅各許願說，神若與我同在，在我去的路上保守我，又給我食物吃，衣服穿， And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me and will keep me in this way that I go and will give me bread to eat and garments to put on,
28:21	使我平平安安的回到我父親的家，我就必以耶和華為我的神。 So that I return to my father's house in peace, then Jehovah will be my God,
28:22	我所立為柱子的石頭也必作神的家；凡你所賜給我的，我必將十分之一獻給你。 And this stone, which I have set up as a pillar, will be God's house; and of all that You give me I will surely give one tenth to You.
