| 29:1 | 雅各往前行，到了東方人之地， Then Jacob went on his journey and came to the land of the children of the east. |
| 29:2 | 看見田間有一口井，有三群羊臥在井旁；因為人都是用那井裏的水給羊群喝。井口上的石頭很大。 And he looked, and there in the field was a well, and there three flocks of sheep were lying beside it; for from that well they watered the flocks. And the stone on the mouth of the well was large. |
| 29:3 | 當所有的羊群在那裏聚齊了，人就把石頭轉離井口，給羊喝水，隨後又把石頭放回井口原處。 And when all the flocks would gather there, they would roll the stone from the mouth of the well and water the sheep; then they would put the stone back on the mouth of the well in its place. |
| 29:4 | 雅各對他們說，弟兄們，你們是那裏來的？他們說，我們是哈蘭來的。 And Jacob said to them, My brothers, where are you from? And they said, We are from Haran. |
| 29:5 | 他問他們說，拿鶴的孫子拉班，你們認識麼？他們說，我們認識。 And he said to them, Do you know Laban the son of Nahor? And they said, We do know him. |
| 29:6 | 雅各說，他平安麼？他們說，平安。看哪，他女兒拉結領著羊來了。 And he said to them, Is it well with him? And they said, It is well, and here is his daughter Rachel coming with the sheep. |
| 29:7 | 雅各說，你們看，日頭還高，不是聚集牲口的時候，你們不如給羊喝了水，再去牧放。 And he said, Look, it is still full day; and it is not time for the livestock to be gathered together. Water the sheep, and go feed them. |
| 29:8 | 他們說，我們不能，必須等羊群都聚齊，人把石頭轉離井口，那時才可給羊喝水。 And they said, We cannot until all the flocks are gathered together and they roll the stone from the mouth of the well; then we water the sheep. |
| 29:9 | 雅各正和他們說話的時候，拉結領著她父親的羊來了，因為那些羊是她牧放的。 While he was still speaking with them, Rachel came with the sheep which belonged to her father, for she was a shepherdess. |
| 29:10 | 雅各看見母舅拉班的女兒拉結和母舅拉班的羊群，就上前把石頭轉離井口，給他母舅拉班的羊群喝水。 Now when Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban his mother's brother and the sheep of Laban his mother's brother, Jacob drew near and rolled the stone from the mouth of the well, and watered the flock of Laban his mother's brother. |
| 29:11 | 雅各與拉結親嘴，就放聲而哭。 Then Jacob kissed Rachel and lifted up his voice and wept. |
| 29:12 | 雅各告訴拉結，自己是她父親的外甥，是利百加的兒子；拉結就跑去告訴她父親。 And Jacob told Rachel that he was her father's relative and that he was Rebekah's son. And she ran and told her father. |
| 29:13 | 拉班聽見外甥雅各的消息，就跑去迎接，抱著他，與他親嘴，領他到自己的家。雅各將一切的情由告訴了拉班。 And when Laban heard the news of Jacob his sister's son, he ran to meet him. And he embraced him and kissed him and brought him to his house. Then Jacob related to Laban all these things. |
| 29:14 | 拉班對他說，你實在是我的骨肉。雅各就和他同住了一個月。 And Laban said to him, Surely you are my bone and my flesh. And he stayed with him a month. |
| 29:15 | 拉班對雅各說，你雖是我的外甥，豈可白白的服事我？請告訴我，你要什麼為工價？ And Laban said to Jacob, Because you are my relative, should you therefore serve me for nothing? Tell me, what shall your wages be? |
| 29:16 | 拉班有兩個女兒，大的名叫利亞，小的名叫拉結。 Now Laban had two daughters; the name of the older was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel. |
| 29:17 | 利亞的眼睛沒有神氣，拉結卻生得形貌美麗。 And Leah's eyes were dull, but Rachel was beautiful in form and beautiful in appearance. |
| 29:18 | 雅各愛拉結，就說，我願為你小女兒拉結服事你七年。 And Jacob loved Rachel. And he said, I will serve you seven years for Rachel your younger daughter. |
| 29:19 | 拉班說，我把她給你，勝過給別人；你與我同住罷。 And Laban said, It is better that I give her to you than that I should give her to another man; stay with me. |
| 29:20 | 雅各就為拉結服事了七年；他因為深愛拉結，就看這七年如同幾天。 And Jacob served seven years for Rachel, but they seemed to him only a few days because of the love he had for her. |
| 29:21 | 雅各對拉班說，日期已經滿了，求你把我的妻子給我，我好與她同房。 And Jacob said to Laban, Give me my wife that I may go in to her, for my time is completed. |
| 29:22 | 拉班就擺設筵席，請齊了那地方的眾人。 And Laban gathered together all the men of the place and made a feast. |
| 29:23 | 但到了晚上，拉班卻將女兒利亞送來給雅各，雅各就與她同房。 But in the evening he took Leah his daughter and brought her to him, and he went in to her. |
| 29:24 | 拉班又將自己的婢女悉帕給女兒利亞作使女。 And Laban gave Zilpah his female servant to his daughter Leah to be her female servant. |
| 29:25 | 到了早晨，雅各一看，竟是利亞，就對拉班說，你向我作的是什麼事？我服事你，不是為拉結麼？你為什麼欺哄我？ And in the morning there she was, Leah! And he said to Laban, What is this you have done to me? Did I not serve with you for Rachel? Why then have you deceived me? |
| 29:26 | 拉班說，大女兒還沒有給人，先把小女兒給人，在我們這地方沒有這樣作的。 And Laban said, It is not done in this way in our place, to give the younger before the firstborn. |
| 29:27 | 你為這一個滿了七日，我們就把那一個也給你，隻要你再為她服事我七年。 Complete the week of this one, and we will give you the other also for the service which you will serve with me for another seven years. |
| 29:28 | 雅各就如此行；滿了利亞的七日，拉班便將女兒拉結給雅各為妻。 And Jacob did so and completed her week, and he gave him Rachel his daughter as a wife. |
| 29:29 | 拉班又將自己的婢女辟拉給女兒拉結作使女。 And Laban gave to Rachel his daughter Bilhah his female servant to be her female servant. |
| 29:30 | 雅各也與拉結同房，並且愛拉結勝過愛利亞，於是又服事了拉班七年。 And he went in also to Rachel and also loved Rachel rather than Leah, and he served with Laban for another seven years. |
| 29:31 | 耶和華見利亞失寵，就使她生育；拉結卻不生育。 Now when Jehovah saw that Leah was hated, He opened her womb; but Rachel was barren. |
| 29:32 | 利亞懷孕生子，就給他起名叫流便，因為她說，耶和華看見我的苦情，如今我的丈夫必愛我。 And Leah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Reuben, for she said, Because Jehovah has looked upon my affliction, surely now my husband will love me. |
| 29:33 | 她又懷孕生子，就說，耶和華因為聽見我失寵，所以又賜給我這個兒子，於是給他起名叫西緬。 And she conceived again and bore a son and said, Because Jehovah has heard that I am hated, He has therefore given me this son also; so she called his name Simeon. |
| 29:34 | 她又懷孕生子，說，我給丈夫生了三個兒子，這次他必與我聯合，因此起名叫利未。 And she conceived again and bore a son and said, Now this time my husband will be joined to me, because I have borne him three sons. Therefore his name was called Levi. |
| 29:35 | 她又懷孕生子，說，這次我要讚美耶和華，因此給他起名叫猶大。這才停了生育。 And she conceived again and bore a son and said, This time I will praise Jehovah. Therefore she called his name Judah. Then she ceased bearing. |
