曆代記下-2 Chronicles 第 12 章

12:1	羅波安的國堅立強盛的時候，他就離棄耶和華的律法，以色列眾人也都隨從他。 And when the kingdom of Rehoboam was established and when it was strong, he and all Israel with him forsook the law of Jehovah.
12:2	羅波安王第五年，埃及王示撒上來攻打耶路撒冷，因為王和民對耶和華不忠信； Then in the fifth year of King Rehoboam, Shishak the king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, because they had been unfaithful to Jehovah,
12:3	示撒帶戰車一千二百輛，馬兵六萬，並且跟他從埃及來的路比人、蘇基人和古實人，多得不可勝數。 With one thousand two hundred chariots and sixty thousand horsemen. And the people who came with him from Egypt were without number: Libyans, Sukkiim, and Cushites.
12:4	他攻取了猶大的堅固城，就來到耶路撒冷。 And he captured the fortified cities which belonged to Judah and came as far as Jerusalem.
12:5	那時，猶大的首領因為示撒就聚集在耶路撒冷；有申言者示瑪雅去見羅波安和眾首領，對他們說，耶和華如此說，你們離棄了我，所以我也離棄你們，把你們交在示撒手裏。 And Shemaiah the prophet came to Rehoboam and the princes of Judah who were gathered in Jerusalem because of Shishak; and he said to them, Thus says Jehovah, You have forsaken Me, so I also have forsaken you, delivering you into the hand of Shishak.
12:6	於是以色列的眾首領和王都自卑說，耶和華是公義的。 So the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said, Jehovah is righteous.
12:7	耶和華見他們自卑，耶和華的話就臨到示瑪雅說，他們既自卑，我必不滅絕他們；我必使他們略得拯救，不藉著示撒的手將我的怒氣倒在耶路撒冷； And when Jehovah saw that they had humbled themselves the word of Jehovah came to Shemaiah, saying, They have humbled themselves; I will not destroy them, but I will give them a little deliverance, and My wrath will not be poured out on Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak;
12:8	然而他們必作示撒的仆人，好叫他們知道，服事我與服事地上的列國有什麼分別。 For they will become his servants that they may know the difference between serving Me and serving the kingdoms of the lands.
12:9	於是，埃及王示撒上來攻打耶路撒冷，奪取耶和華殿和王宮裏的寶物，盡都奪走了；又奪去所羅門製造的金盾牌。 And Shishak the king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem and took away the treasures of the house of Jehovah and the treasures of the king's house; indeed he took away all. And he took away the shields of gold that Solomon had made.
12:10	羅波安王製造銅盾牌代替那些金盾牌，交在看守王宮門的護衛長手中保管。 And King Rehoboam made shields of bronze in their place and committed them into the hands of the captains of the guard, who kept the entrance of the king's house.
12:11	王每逢進耶和華的殿，護衛兵就拿這些盾牌，隨後仍將盾牌送回護衛房裏。 And whenever the king went into the house of Jehovah, the guards came and carried them and returned them to the guardroom.
12:12	王自卑的時候，耶和華的怒氣就從他轉消，不將他們滅盡，並且在猶大中間也有善益的事。 And when he humbled himself, the anger of Jehovah turned away from him, and He did not destroy them completely; and also things in Judah were good.
12:13	羅波安王自強，在耶路撒冷作王。他登基的時候年四十一歲，在耶路撒冷，就是耶和華從以色列眾支派中所選擇立祂名的城，作王十七年。羅波安的母親名叫拿瑪，是亞捫人。 So King Rehoboam strengthened himself in Jerusalem and reigned. Now Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city where Jehovah had chosen, out of all the tribes of Israel, to put His name. And his mother's name was Naamah the Ammonitess.
12:14	羅波安行惡，因他不立定心意尋求耶和華。 And he did what was evil, because he did not prepare his heart to seek Jehovah.
12:15	羅波安所行的事，自始至終，豈不都按著家譜的記載，寫在申言者示瑪雅和先見易多的年代誌上麼？羅波安與耶羅波安之間常有爭戰。 And the acts of Rehoboam, the first and the last, are they not written in the chronicles of Shemaiah the prophet and Iddo the seer according to the genealogical records? And there were wars between Rehoboam and Jeroboam continually.
12:16	羅波安與他列祖同睡，葬在大衛城裏。他兒子亞比雅接續他作王。 And Rehoboam slept with his fathers and was buried in the city of David. And Abijah his son reigned in his place.
