| 24:1 | 巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒，將猶大王約雅敬的兒子耶哥尼雅，和猶大的首領，並工匠、鐵匠，從耶路撒冷遷徙出去，帶到巴比倫；這事以後，耶和華指給我看，有兩筐無花果，放在耶和華的殿前。 Jehovah showed me, and there were two baskets of figs placed before the temple of Jehovah, after Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon had exiled Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, the king of Judah, and the princes of Judah and the craftsmen and the smiths from Jerusalem and had brought them to Babylon. |
| 24:2 | 一筐是極好的無花果，好像是初熟的；一筐是極壞的無花果，壞得不可吃。 One basket had very good figs, like first ripe figs, but the other basket had very bad figs, which could not be eaten because of their rottenness. |
| 24:3 | 耶和華問我說，耶利米，你看見什麼？我說，我看見無花果，好的無花果極好，壞的極壞，壞得不可吃。 And Jehovah said to me, What do you see, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs. The good figs are very good; the bad figs are very bad, which cannot be eaten because of their rottenness. |
| 24:4 | 於是耶和華的話臨到我，說， Then the word of Jehovah came to me, saying, |
| 24:5 | 耶和華以色列的神如此說，被遷徙的猶大人，就是我打發離開這地到迦勒底人之地去的，我必看他們如這些好無花果，使他們得好處。 Thus says Jehovah the God of Israel, Like these good figs, so I will regard those who are exiled of Judah, whom I have sent from this place to the land of the Chaldeans, for good. |
| 24:6 | 我要向他們定住眼目，使他們得好處，領他們歸回這地，也要建立他們並不拆毀，栽植他們並不拔出。 And I will set My eyes upon them for good and will bring them back to this land and build them up and not tear them down, and I will plant them and not uproot them. |
| 24:7 | 我要賜他們認識我的心，知道我是耶和華；他們要作我的子民，我要作他們的神；因為他們要全心歸向我。 And I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am Jehovah; and they will be My people, and I will be their God; for they will return to Me with their whole heart. |
| 24:8 | 耶和華如此說，我必使猶大王西底家和他的首領，以及耶路撒冷的餘民，無論是剩在這地的，或是住在埃及地的，都像那極壞，壞得不可吃的無花果。 And like the bad figs that cannot be eaten because of their rottenness, thus says Jehovah, so I will make Zedekiah, the king of Judah, and his princes and the remnant of Jerusalem who remain in this land and those who dwell in the land of Egypt - |
| 24:9 | 我必使他們在地上萬國中令人驚恐，使他們遭遇災禍，在我趕逐他們到的各處，成為淩辱、笑談、譏刺、咒詛。 I will even make them a terror to all the kingdoms of the earth for evil, to be a reproach and a proverb and a byword and a curse in all the places where I will drive them. |
| 24:10 | 我必使刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫臨到他們，直到他們從我所賜給他們和他們列祖之地滅絕。 And I will send sword and famine and pestilence upon them until they are consumed from the land which I gave to them and to their fathers. |
